West Washoe Association.

We're the West Washoe Association, a volunteer group made up entirely of single-family residential property owners like you. Since 1994, we've been fighting to protect our community from excessive growth, inappropriate development, traffic gridlock and environmental threats.
Together, we provide a unified and respected front to City, County and State, before the major institutions in Nevada that impact our community and in dealing with other private and non-profit interests that impact our quality of life and community. We on the Board remain committed, as we have for over 25 years, to protecting the interests of Washoe Valley residents by representing only one point of view; namely, the interest of the homeowners in Washoe Valley. We're far stronger than any possible number of homeowners acting individually.
The West Washoe Association evolved in 1994 from previous homeowners’ associations that had done so much to help preserve the quality of life in our beautiful valley. The purpose of the Association is to provide information on local issues and create a line of communication between residents.
The Association is a group of homeowners and property owners located in West Washoe Valley who are concerned about their quality of life as it may be affected by the development of land in West Washoe Valley. We generally focus on protecting the South Valley Area Plan, first adopted by Washoe County on May 16, 1995, and all its elements. Many of the elements, the drafting and adoption of the plan, were conceived by members of the Association.

What Can You Do? Although our unpaid volunteer homeowners donate thousands of hours each year, we still have expenses. Besides the cost of running an office and publishing materials for our members, we sometimes use your dues to hire professional consultants in such areas as land use, water rights, architecture or engineering. By taking a moment to support the West Washoe Association with your check, you give us the means necessary to protect our mutual interests.
